While the Mahoning Inn is not quite on the same level as the big chain hotels, I found the property to be quite charming and given the reason for my stay, highly convenient. Everything was very clean and neat in my room when I checked in, and while the facilities are somewhat dated in several ways, there was plentiful hot water, clean towels and bedding, and nicely appointed rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend a stay here as a budget friendly, clean, and quiet little inn.

Decent place to stay, older motel look outside but nicely updated inside. Near Jim Thorpe so many historic attractions. Also had listing in room for nearby restaurants and diners, which we took advantage of.

Comfortable hotel offer self-serviced breakfast and brew coffee in the morning. Very clean and friendly. Wishlist: more eco-friendly by not using polystyrene form or plastic at breakfast ; not using small bottles of shampoo.

Whoa.
As a low priced motel, we knew not to expect much, but were still disappointed. Terrible air freshener (cover up) smell upon entering, then an odor from the AC/heater made them unusable. We had to leave the door open to stay cool. Phone did not work. Nothing edible for breakfast. Receptionist was very helpful and sweet!!
