Room was gorgeous, breakfast was lovely, staff polite and professional. Area quite. Shower took a long time to heat up.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Stayed at hotel enroute to Trossachs.
Staff were very friendly and helpful especially reception staff. Would not rate the hotel as four star. Furniture condition was generally tired. Hole in room door part repaired. No lift in hotel although staff offered help with bags. Pop up waste in bathroom sink didn’t work. Had to eat in bar area in the evening with two loud televisions blaring away and dogs being allowed in the bar when people are sitting eating.
Very clean, tidy and comfortable overnight stay. Even manged to have evening meal after late arrival, despite hotel catering for wedding guests! Very good cooked breakfast and other options. Would have stayed longer if itinerary allowed, definately stay again if ever in the area.
Excellent stay. Friendly staff. Stunning building. Beautiful gardens. Stunning views. Shore is at the end of the drive way. Lovely breakfast. Peaceful and quiet: Loved it.
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. Lovely breakfast, continental and hot options available. Would definitely recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Can't fault the service and we slept well which is the most important thing! However we were disappointed by the room - it was fine but shabby (peeling paint, mouldy grout, cheap furniture, hole in sheet) and didn't feel 4 star. Had normal sized pillows squeezed and folded into a much smaller pillowcase which was uncomfortable.
Tv in the room but with no channels to watch so pointless, got told on arrival that I had selected a room upgrade and had to pay an extra £20 but nowhere on my receipt or anywhere in the booking had this been selected, food was good and waitresses were friendly and attentive
Loved the hotel! The owners provide special attention to each guest.
Food was wonderful. I ate at the pub and had a nice pint recommended by the staff. Excellent pairing and choice.
We had a lovely stay, room was very clean and comfy only down fall to our stay was waiting an hour in a quiet bar for a drink which I was unable to drink, we would have spent more money in the bar/restaurant if it hadn’t taken so long to come
