What an incredible place to soak in Lake Huron, not too far once you pass the Mackinac Bridge. The renovations are modern & crisp. The 4 bedroom/ 2 bathroom Bayside Bungalow is a all-around sharp place. Sitting with your friends and family in the comfortable porch setting overlooking Lake Huron brings out the best in both relaxation and conversation. The stroll to the water's edge is simple. Comfort surrounds you both inside and out as it is obvious care was taken to ensure vacationing guests found space to relax. The convenience of the large refrigerator, ample indoor and outdoor seating, plus the laundry room on the main floor, add ease to your trip.
The favorite spot for the bibliophile in your group will be the reading nook. This space was designed as the ideal space to relax. Plus, for those who need to do a little work or study at the desk, while the rest of the family vacations, there is an ideal space to squeeze in those few moments. This unique bungalow simply brings out that warm & cozy feeling of being together. The purpose of carving out this time to be together.
As you watch the sun descend onto the Lake Huron horizon, listening to the crackle of the camp fire as you reflect on the day, you'll find yourself wondering, just when you will be back to Lake Huron, and a visit to Bayside Bungalow again...

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.
Fireplace: No. The wood stove in the dining area is for decoration only. It is not functional.
Fire-pit: There is a fire-pit in the backyard
Fishing: Some common fish you will see in the nearby lake are Pike, Walleye, Small Mouth, and Trout. Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes, one is required to hold a fishing license.

Nearby Hessel Marina you can go fishing off the pier (Lake Huron).
Salmon fishing can be done in the Carp River (20 minutes away).
Les Cheneaux Islands is about 20 minutes away which are boater and fishing friendly.

Home Automation: Our property contains a YourWelcome Guest Tablet which is a complimentary smart home device for use during your stay. The tablet can be used for checking in on arrival as well as accessing property specific guides, local area information and many other useful features to improve your stay. The tablet includes a camera on the front and rear however no features used on the tablet utilize or activate the camera or mic. The option to turn off the device is always possible should you feel it necessary, and the large power button is found along the top side of the tablet.
Ice Maker- The ice maker in the freezer is just a small one. It will not produce enough ice for coolers. If you need ice for coolers, please bring ice with you on your way in.
Internet: Yes. Property has Starlink internet and has great connection.
Linens: Yes, we provide your sheets and linens. Just like a hotel, the beds will be made for you upon arrival. If you are fussy about the thread count of your sheets, just let me know, and I'll make sure we leave a bed open for your sheets. We have just the basic sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and bath towels.
Parking: There is room for 6 cars or 4 cars with 2 trailers.
Pets: Dogs are welcome! Freshwater Vacation Rentals currently charges $75/per pet for your entire stay. Yes, we do accept dogs, yet we do ask that you please clean up after them both inside and outside the cabin. Plus, if you allow them on the furniture, we do ask that you please bring your own linens/blankets for them to sleep on. Just let us know which bed you will be using with them, and we'll make sure it is ready for your sheets when you arrive. Plus, if the pet hair starts to build, we do ask that you please run the vacuum. Generally, dogs love the water and places to explore. Pet food does tend to attract mice, so vigilance is needed.
Privacy: Wooded lot to the right, pretty private from neighbors
Snowmobiles: A person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). It is valid for one year, which begins Oct. 1 and ends Sept. 30 of the following year. State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
