Liked: Staff & service
So the few things I did not like where the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the onsen water was hot enough to burn me (the rock onsen at the bottom) and the pool closed SOOOO early that we didn’t get to experience it at all. I paid a lot of money for that hotel and then didn’t even get to experience the pool. But the staff was very accommodating and made great efforts to speak English to us.
The room is huge with excellent sea view. The rooftop onsen is super cool. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I am planning to visit this hotel in the future.
Welcoming staff, spacious room with good view and while the furnishings could do with a revamp, it is all kept clean. Spa/onsen facilities are beautiful!
We enjoyed our two nights. The hotel is in a small hot spring town that takes about 1 hour train from Atami. There are trains every 30 minutes and the hotel shuttle will come over to the train station to pick up guests whenever a train arrives during daytime. I would suggest wait for the shuttle rather than walking by yourself if you have luggages because it's all up-hill walk.
The facility is pretty old but it was kept very clean. The staff were very nice and service was great. The breakfast included in our package was good, but I think the dinner is a little over priced. Nice ocean view from our hotel room. There is also convenient store cross street.
There is not much to do in the small town other than enjoy the hot spring. One has to either use train or drive to go to interesting places of Izu Peninsula.
