Wedding weekend
The home was one of the best locations for our stay, close to the wedding venue, everything about the house and host was perfect. We will certainly return to Highlands, NC and hopefully be able to rent this property again. I highly recommend this location if you liked being treated with a warm welcome, just like family.

Perfect Vacation Spot - Felt right at Home
5 of us stayed in this cute rental and loved it. The property manager was so helpful and accommodating. This property is close to town, just a short commute to all the fun things in Highlands. We will definitely rent again!

Perfect stay!
Our group of five ladies had a great stay at this cute cottage very close to downtown Highlands. The house was just as listed, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice too. Communication with the owner was quick and easy, and we appreciated the yummy cake that was left for us - such a thoughtful gesture! Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location- only a few minutes from Highlands in a quiet neighborhood. The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need for a short (or longer) stay. The owner was very accommodating and helpful with check in. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Highlands

Wonderful mountain retreat
We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was so cozy and welcoming. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and lovely decorations! The screened porch off the back is the perfect place to read, play a board game or have a glass of wine. The location is incredible, just a mile from town but really quiet and private neighborhood. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Bear Shadow Trip
We had a wonderful time in Highlands this trip. This is our second trip for Bear Shadow and I expect it to become a yearly trip. The location were perfect and in close proximity to everything. The property was lovely as was the neighborhood. We had a seamless check in and Janet was amazing to work with. Thank you for letting us stay!

Initial ease of finding the house was the beginning of a positive experience. House was comfortable, updated/new in appearance and cleanliness. Perfect Spot!!
This was such a great house and was perfect for a quick get away to Highlands! Was minutes from downtown and yet you felt tucked away in a quiet beautiful neighborhood that was the perfect setting for comfortable relaxation! Our contact Janet, was wonderful with communication and very thoughtful. Knew we were arriving late and made sure lights were on to welcome us. We were also welcomed in with a yummy homemade cake! 10/10 would recommend!! :)

Highlands fall vacation
This house is wonderful!! Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. On a very peaceful dead end street. Large porch on back of the house overlooks a large wooded area. The house is just minutes to town with plenty of shopping and restaurant choices. The host is very gracious snd easy to contact. Great place in Highlands!!
