The general manager treated us like royalty, and we felt special. The room though had a slight musty smell, and it appeared to need a little face lift. The parking lot was filled with trucks and workers who awakend early. Over all though it was what we were looking for and the staff was so nice it made up for any of the other quirks
One of our friends left their Smart watch in the room. We didn't know it at the time, but we got a call from Autumn who stated they had found the watch and would hold it at the front desk. Renewed my faith in humans! There still are honest people in the world! We greatly appreciated that!
Carpets could use an upgrade. We were just passing through on our way to CT with our dog. The room and bathroom were clean and 1 dog was free so we would stay again while traveling.

Didn’t like the room directly at the stairs. Desk clerk spent 20 minutes trying to get the room that we already booked.
A decent “barebones” stop on a road trip. The outside of the property looks dated and almost sketchy but the inside was clean, staff was friendly and it was cheap. If I had to change one thing it would be the morning coffee, it was gross! Other wise, not a bad place to spend the night.
Staff at checkin was friendly and more than willing to suggest a few dinner options close by.
This was a great option to stay over night after a long day on the road.

This hotel is pretty old and hasn't been updated recently. The common areas (hallways) have no climate control, so on the hot day we stayed it was pretty hot and humid. Our room had not been used in a few days and had a pronounced musty smell that took a few hours for the a/c to overcome. The sheets and towels were clean. The beds were a little on the firm side.
There is no elevator and no vending machine on the 2nd floor. The one on the first floor was out of order. There is an attached convenience store and gas station though.
It is obvious that the owners are trying, and it was less expensive than some of the hotels in Wytheville.
Good overall value for the price. Room was clean, AC worked well, and good water pressure in shower. Convenient location right off the highway with several restaurants nearby. Staff was very friendly and courteous.
My only gripe was the smell of the main floor hallway. Might need a deep cleaning.
We visit the Blue Ridge Parkway area yearly. Hotels near the area are tourist magnets but expensive. Red Roof Inn is affordable and only 45 minutes from our destination. They also allow our dog free. That is a must for us. The staff is friendly and do a great job.
This motel is at our halfway point, having drive 10 hours we were ready to stay the night. Got checked in and went to room and the fridge was not cleaned. So wr figured housekeeping just made the beds and left dirty sheets on the bed. We already had our luggage in the room. They did put us in another room but we weren't happy having to move all our luggage again. I will say the front desk person said she would help move us but that was a little to late. No discount was given for our inconvenience other than I'm so sorry.
Hotel itself was updated, clean and comfortable. But the staff set it over the top. Especially the young lady working late when we checked in. She was friendly, helpful, and personable. Will definitely be making this our go stop on your trips.
