First off, it’s located in Sea Pines which is great for kids/bikes. Property was clean, but seemed like a flip done on the cheap. Thank goodness we brought our own firesticks because there’s no cable tv (there were convoluted instructions but it was web tv, not what we are used to which is “check in, turn on the local tv & see what’s happening”). The living room had no place to put a drink down - no tables, just a wicker bench with a serving tray, we made do by using a cooler we brought. No air circulation (fans, like ceiling fans) so we bought some at target a day later. The front bedroom was rediculously hot (moderately fine for teens, but if I had to stay in it I’d have checked into a hotel - it never cooled down). Great response and super fast service for the puddle under the condenser unit in the entryway (was clogged and the AC guy was out within minutes after we made the call reporting it). THE PLACE IS NOT ‘BAD’, just lacking a lot of touches. Example: no fans, no placemats for the glass dining table, uncomfortable furniture, no possible way to have a conversation while sitting in the living room (unless everyone sat on the same sofa or 2 tiny chairs). No curtains / blinds in the main room, just a semi pretty view into an overgrown pond. Master Bedroom: excellent bed! Nicely furnished! The kitchen: all electric, no disposal (guess that was overlooked in the Rennovation budget and it must have been an ‘issue’ because there was a sign saying ‘don’t put food down the drain, no garbage disposal’ *that got old REALLY FAST. Again, one step above camping. The washer/dryer worked well but felt like doing laundry at great grandmothers house (old appliances). The decorator LOVES pillows. They were everywhere. Must have thought “when in doubt, add throw pillows!” We stored them in a closet the entire trip. Don’t try to watch tv when someone is sleeping - you can’t, the walls are paper thin. This unit has access to a neighborhood pool, which was fine - dated, but acceptable. Uncomfortable furniture there also. I was glad I brought Ibuprofen and acetaminophen and Flexeril because I could never get comfortable in the rental. Overall, i wouldn’t stay here again. Especially at the over inflated price we paid. To put it into perspective: hotel rooms are more comfortable. We’ve been coming to Hilton Head for over a decade, this trip left a bad taste in our mouths. There was absolutely nothing ‘special’ about this rental. Service was fine when needed.
