The breakfast at Happy Life Grand Hotel & Sky Bar was great! In fact, the choices and quality of breakfast was better than Liberty Central Hotel's breakfast. The staff service was good as well. One staff by the name, "Jade" served nice ice coffee. Excellent! Hotel is within walking distance to Ben Thanh market but need to cross a chaotic traffic junction. I look forward to return to Happy Life Grand Hotel and Sky Bar again.

Room was comfortable and clean. Beds and pillows comfy. Pool was cold but clean. Breakfast was good- enough variety. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Jade in reception area, who went out of her way numerous times with recommendations, organising Grab cars and tickets for us. 5 min walk to markets and can walk to Opera House

The good thing is its close proximity to shops. We arrive at 7pm and room was not ready. The room was small and hot for 3 adult with cockroach.Toilet flush is weak.Towels were so tired and slippers were recycled. We asked for another room, but instead they repair the AC. The hallway and elevator has interesting smell. Sky deck pool and Bar, felt unsafe climbing the stairs.The buffet was average for a Happy Life Grand Hotel. I heard female staff at restaurant was gossiping about customers. The staff is only doing their job, no genuine customer service.Not a pleasant hotel to stay with their customer service.

Best customer service.
This hotel is a great little gem in HCMC. The staff are a big selling point with their attentive manner and friendly demeanor (Jade was exceptional and makes a great ice coffee)The pool is shallow and the pool area is tight but still a pleasant area. The front of house staff are top notch.

Better options locally
Overall a good experience but expensive compared to other similar quality options. Breakfast was good, room was very clean and a good size, the rooftop bar and pool is great although using a temporary entrance. Sadly a few things didn’t hit the mark - the gym is very small and outdated, dumbbells only to 10kgs. The pool area lacks towels and service in the morning. In the evening, it was really nice until around 11pm when the music turned to very loud EDM and made conversation impossible, even with only a handful of people.
