First time in 4 decades.
When we checked in at the hotel, nobody was at the reception. I pressed the bell several times. No one responded. Then I saw a note pasted on the door. Signed off ‘Karen’ ‘I am behind room 1 cooking’. The note also left a phone number I can reach. I went to room 1 and vicinity but nobody was there. I called the number but was greeted w a voice recording. I left my name saying I was waiting already for 15 min and no one attended to me. In the end after 30 mins of waiting by me and my frustrated friends, Karen appeared with a paint brush apparently painting some part of the hotel, oblivious to the fact that someone could have been there waiting to check in while she was missing. When she appeared, and my friends told her we have been waiting for 30 mins, she offered no apologies. I have travelled across the world for the past 3-4 decades and have checked in in many hotels and motels of all sorts but this is the one and only time the hotel kept me waiting for so long to check in !!

Our two bedroom apartment was very large and would easily accommodate a family of 5. The kitchen was well equipped although some of the pots weren't clean and needed to be washed before our use. Good location within walking distance of town and also the glow worm dell. Would stay again.
