"Room was older but stil functional, be careful should you go to the in-house restaurants, waiters will not give you guidance even when you explicitly ask for it and instead sell you food for several people notwithstanding one is alone at the table. Don’t ask staff to call you a taxi to the airport , they charge 10 times the price of an Uber and about 6 times of what i paid hiring a taxi from the airport to the Taj, they refused to call me a taxi who would just run his meter, so I hired an uber with my phone app, took 3 minutes to arrive and i had no issue whatsoever with the ride. Disappointing practice for a good hotel to overcharge their guests for exactly the same vehicle class, no added value but just 6 to 7 times more expensive. Generally staff was friendly and competent so I guess they are following management directives and I do not fault them for the bad service I received leaving the place. Also, bring your own city map, they don’t have any for its guests, that’s a first and I am an extensive traveler."
