Wish I could rate this lower than one star.
Room looked nothing like the pictures, was not anywhere near a picturesque location. Rooms share a common outside door with the adjoining room. Bathroom has shower and toilet in one compartment, sink in another. Walls are paper thin. Beds are uncomfortable. only stay here if you’re exhausted like I was.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience attempting to check-in at Hotel Heco Colmar location.
When I arrived in Colmar on the evening of December 9th, I tried multiple times to call the hotel to notify you of my arrival and ask for directions. Unfortunately, despite calling numerous times, no one ever answered the phone.
Ultimately, after waiting for over an hour outside the hotel late at night and having no way to get in touch with anyone on their staff, I was forced to book a room at the nearby Hotel F1 for my stay instead.
Given that I was unable to check-in to the room I had reserved and paid for due to being unable to reach anyone at the hotel by phone or email, I kindly request a full refund for the night I had booked. Please advise on next steps for issuing this refund.
I hope you will improve your policies for responding to guest communications quickly, as this was an extremely frustrating experience that led me to take my business elsewhere. I look forward to your response.
Best,
Karthik
IT WAS VERY BAD SITUATION. WE HAD TO LEAVE THE HOTEL BECAUSE THE ROOM WAS DIRTY, HOT, NO VENTILATION, NO FAN, AND STAFF VERY UNHELPFULL. WE ASKED TO FIX EVERYTHING OR GIVE THE MONEY BACK, AND THE EMPLOYEE THAT SAID HE WAS THE MANAGER, SAID ANY OF BOTH OPTIONS WERE NOT POSSIBLE.
WE WROTE AN EMAIL TO HOTELS.COM ALREADY WITH ALL DETAILS ASKING FOR A REFUND, BUT NO RESPONSE YET. WE HOPE YOU CAN DO IT SOON.
The directors and his assistant were really disorganised, childish, very racist and behaving wierdly, badly toward me, they mistook me for someone else .
They harrased me at the point of calling authorities, later on they came to excuse themselves but i had to leave cos it was really hard for me to went through such embarrassment,
Stopped for the night on our way to ski. This was the cheapest hotel on the area. No surprises, just the usual Première Classe motel. Convenient, clean, with two twin beds for me and my daughter, and a private bathroom.
Wasn’t our type of place..it was small.. it was musty......the beds were uncomfortable.... location Wes’s great and the girl who ran it was very nice.. just was not our type of place.... it’s more like a motel...... not a hotel......would recommend it???? Not to anyone like me and my wife.. but, kids doing backpacking trips and men and women that work there.. sure.. don’t know what else to say.. girl was nice but, place eh.. not so much
We had a double room facing the parking lot. We've never slept so badly: no heating (approx. 13 degrees), a broken bed, overly expensive for the quality of the hotel. We do not recommend this place to anyone.
Good value for one night stopover. Didn't think I can find anything as good as this in UK for the same value. Provides clean linen and good shower . Overall would use it again!

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Staff & service
exceptionally rude receptionist,
Hotel receptionist was ignorant and extremely rude, no desire to listen or help customers in any way. uncooperative, sour faced and unpleasant. Don't expect to check in until after 5 pm even though big board on the front boasts of their welcome at any time. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable enough.

You Get What You Paid For
Perfect for students. Bare minumum, own bathroom and comfortable memory mattress. Beware with the front desk "not knowing" the room was prepaid. I really had to push that point.
Stayed at the hotel for one night with my partner on our way back from Italy. Definitely a great hotel to stay at if you just need a short break from being on the road, rooms are small but all have a toilet and a shower, everything was clean and tidy. The hotel is located right at the heart of a big shopping area, and is a 5 min drive away from Colmar.
I had heard about those kind of hotels where they put the guests in some sort of tiny little box for the night, but I had not experienced one before. Never again, this is not how you want to sleep in the beautiful Alsace. It turned out the hotel was right beside one of these ugly shopping complexes. Unfortunately, this was not obvious when booking, but the price was too good to be in a real hotel. The price was too good to be in a real hotel. Well, you get what you pay for! I recommend to spend a few bucks more and get into a real hotel.
More of Motel located on one of those ghastly French commercial centres that blight the outskirts of towns albeit on the edge with view on a field if you're lucky. Small room, very comfortable bed, all in one shower loo in a plastic cubicle, separate wash basin, cleanliness medium, staff friendly. If you are looking for somewherecheap to stay overnight when visiting the area then this is fine. 15mn drive to centre of Colmar.
