Lovely hotel just a short walk to the beach and bus links into Brighton. Nice bar and good quality food in the restaurant. Booked the ‘small’ room you our stay which was more than sufficient for our short stay. Would with no doubt stay again when returning to Brighton & Hive

The Ginger Pig in Brighton
Lovely room very comfortable bed and a big bathroom with both a massive standalone bath and a big shower. Although possibly most rooms may have one or the other. Delicious smelling toiletries in eco friendly refillable bottles. As the hotel is minutes from the beach thoughtfully provide beach towels and a rug/blanket to sit on. Mini bar was well stocked and coffee pods and tea bags for a variety of pallettes. We didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on these but staff were friendly and helpful

The mattress was comfortable, but I am no fan of beds with slats as you hear and feel every movement. The staff were excellent and the property clean and well presented

Unique property. On the smaller side. No lifts to rooms. Our room had its challenges with sloped ceilings and uneven flooring. We had to stoop over moving around the room to avoid hitting head. Glad we were only here for two nights. Plus side was you could open the window and they had a great bar and restaurant.

Lovely welcome in a great quiet location
The welcome at the Ginger Pig was excellent. We had two larger rooms in the top floor - rooms 10 and 11 -which were spacious and very comfortable. Excellent bed, great shower and lovely toiletries. Good coffee machine, kettle for tea and new bottles of water every day. Lovely quiet location only a few minutes walk from the beach, beach cafe and restaurants. 45 minutes walk into Brighton or a bus nearby goes along the coast in both directions. Local parking on the pricy side if you stay a few days. We didnt eat at the Ginger Pig only because we loved to sit beside the sea. Nice little courtyard at the back for an early evening drink. The bar closes early (once everyone has dined) but this was not a problem for us. We'd love to go back.

Absolutely loved our stay here. When i first arrived i thought the gentleman behind the bar was a little surly - when asked him about parking he said twice its all in the email - however because I booked through expedia i didnt get an email from the place. However, from there on everything was perfect. We had room 9 and the cleanliness was outstanding. Lovely little touches like bottled water, lovely coffee pods and beach towels. Extremely quiet too. Would definitely return.

Great for what we needed, very clean. Had a couple of drinks in the bar and just felt like we weren’t welcome and a bit of an inconvenience, which was a shame as the place otherwise is fine.
