It was a nice room, clean and quiet. I would’ve liked some wash clothes in the bathroom and a fridge. The shower did not have incredibly hot water, more like warm even with the tap turned full blast hot. The breakfast was a little expensive. One bright spark was Jack. The door lock batteries died. He was quick and responsive getting them replaced. An asset to this hotel. Someone who understands customers and service.
Excellent room, brilliant breakfast and lastly but most importantly, we were greeted by an exceptional team at the desk. Thank you for making our stay fantastic!
The only downside to this stay was the thinness of the duvet/quilt. We stayed for 1 night in December; there was no blanket in the room and it didn’t feel worth going to reception in the middle of the night to ask for one so we slept with a jumper on. Had we stayed for longer I’d have asked about a different duvet/quilt as it just wasn’t thick enough for the winter time.
So impressed with the room for the price, amazing value. I was here for a works party and stayed the night. The negatives were the lack of bar staff (took a very long time to get served) and £12.50 for a large glass of red wine is very excessive. Apart from those minor things I would definitely stay again.
The breakfast is outstanding and well worth the money and the facilities included in the price are top class.
Overall a good hotel. Service marked down slightly due to the fact that I waited 10 minutes for someone from the restaurant to seat me, I had to find said person as it seemed that everyone was occupied with a function within the hotel. Great breakfast buffet offering.
