We had to make a last minute booking due to missing the last ferry. The host was very welcoming, and gave great restaurant advice. Room was a good size, with a comfortable bed and toilet/shower facilities. There was a shared balcony overlooking the harbour which had fantastic views!
Great for an island stop off location
Good location. Amazing views! Friendly hosts. We stayed in the family room and unfortunately the main bed was broken and leaned a lot which made sleeping uncomfortable. If they fix that I would recommend 100%. Basic, comfortable, stunning surroundings. You’re on Hvar, you shouldn’t spend too much time in your room :)
Great hosts and one of the most gorgeous views I've ever had any place I've stayed! Convenient location to take the ferry to old town, as well as #10 bus just 10 minute walk away. Would recommend!
Best value for money on island. Nice patio , fully equipped kitchen, the friemdly host offers good local information on day trip and recommendation on non tourist restaurants. I have stayed there twice and will be back.
We had problems with other guests. We left some swimwear on balcony to dry and when we came back from beach, the guests (24 guys) had jumped into our balcony and took our swimming wear.
Decent place if your a backpacker, that's about it
The good:
-They picked us up/dropped us off at the ferry port for free
-The WiFi was decent
-The bed was comfortable
The bad:
-The place is filthy (it had a kitchen but we didn't want to touch anything, old food stuck on plates, everything was sticky ect.)
- Very far from town - about a 20 minute walk
-Signs on everything in the room about "House Rules"
-They charge extra 5 Euros for A/C and washing machine (which again looked gross)
- Check out is at 10 am, the owners literally knocked on our door at 9:59 am and asked for the keys (I'm assuming they charge extra if you do not walk out at that very moment)
Overall - decent place to stay if your looking for a cheap, filthy place to stay and party. But other than that, I would avoid this place. We are backpacking ourselves and have been on the road for over 2 months now, this was our least favorite place of this trip.
We arrived at the bus station ofHvar and the people of the hotel kindly picked us up. The owner of the hotel was very nice and helped all the staff uS a lot during our stay. Our room was simple but very clean and comfortable. There is a shared kitchen that is very convenient if you are staying a couple of days.
Even if the hotel is not located next to the city center, Hvar is very small! Also it is located near the best beaches of Hvar city.
The room and bathroom were not clean. It seems that no one had changed the bed sheet either. However after complaining they changed everything straight away and gave us a new shower curtain. The room was really overpriced. However the place is well located and the staff was nice and acted straight away after we complained.
rooms are disappointing for the price, bathrooms are very poor. Owner is very friendly, but stay was disappointing

clean rooms but a bit dated
The owner of the rooms was lovely and could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and had air con. The bathroom and shared kitchen were also clean but a bit on the dated side. Great location. A good placed to stay if you're not bothered about the decor.
The owner of the guesthouse was friendly until we gave him our money. Once the transaction was completed, we were merely treated as a burden and all friendliness disappeared. The shower in the apartment turned cold after 1 minute. When I addressed this issue, I only received a shrug from the owner's wife. She clearly didn't care. While gathering our belongings the next morning, we were treated to a loud knock on the door and when opening it with the words 'Out by 10!'. Reluctantly, we were given a lift after 15 minutes of begging and discussing to the bus depot. I do not recommend this place to anyone because of how we were treated. No one needs this on their holidays! The location is great as it is easy to walk to everywhere, there is a supermarket nearby and the neighborhood is nice, but I will never ever book this place again and tell all my friends to stay away from there.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
I was picked up and dropped off at the bus station. The owners were kind and helpful. I was happy with the location, close to the beach and to town. The room was ok. Decor could do with some updating. Comfortable though. Odd shower. You are essentially staying in one room of a two roomed apartment with kitchen and terrace shared with strangers. This needs to be clarified in the hotel description. The WiFi connection was very poor. The TVs are in urgent need of an upgrade. Aircon was provided in common areas but not in the rooms of this"apartment". I did not feel comfortable handing over my passport. The owners need to find an alternative means of getting passport numbers or details with the owner present at all times. Most tourists dislike handing over these important documents for use in their absence. It is a common practice in Croatia but next time I will refuse, leave our passports alone!!! Payment in full and in cash, another unnerving practice in Croatia, needs to be made very clear (by this site!) when booking is made as many tourists fund their holidays on credit card and this can be a nasty suprise. Apart from this, I enjoyed my stay in Hvar.
Although the neigbourhood is nice and the location is close to many beaches (by car), the guesthouse itself is good only if you're looking for somewhere to just spend the night. We travelled for around 10 days to many places in Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia and stayed in much better hotels for much less. The guesthouse has too many stairs, so not suitable for older guests or people with disabilities. The staff was intruding and behaved odd. While some rooms look ok, others look really depressing, so watch out when you book your room here. Not really suitable for families or romantic getaways, only good if your traveling alone or with friends - although I'm sure you can find something much better for this price).
Guesthouse Tea Hvar has lovely, comfortable rooms in the attic, a convenient kitchen and living room area and nice balcony with beautiful view. The owners are very accommodating. Be aware if you have much luggage that the stairs are a big challenge, but it is worth it for the view. It's a bit of a walk to Hvar Town's centre but thus also nice and quiet.
The apartments are well kept and 15 minutes comfortable walk from the main square. The family was very helpful coming to pick me up for free and then showing me around and being available for any questions i had. They have a supermarket at 100 meters so very convenient as they have a kitchen and if you want, you can cook and even wash clothes!

Ideal for the price
Older building, but clean and well kept. Proprietors very communicative, helpful and easy to get on with. They do free transfers to town on arrival and departure. Excellent value for the price.
Lovely friendly lady running the place. We would have liked to have stayed longer than the 2 nights we'd booked but the place was booked out.
We were able to cook our meals and with a supermarket nearby that made life easy. We could sit on the balcony and look at the water while we ate.
A bit of a steep climb from the town / beach to the guesthouse but everything else was very good.
Would recommend this guesthouse.
