It’s a great hotel… would need to be for the price. I was disappointed on the heating… room was cold… the heat took a while to heat up… just cold most of the time… Also disappointed on how restrictive accessing the room especially when the room needs to be vacated by 11.
Lovely room and great food. What let it down was the run down main bar area downstairs and also the spa wasn't working properly and we were unable to use some of the facilities.
Have stayed here a couple of times in the winter to visit friends and the rooms are lovely, we have the basic non sea view.
The beds are enormous and comfortable although we find the duvets too warm and heavy and prefer to have windows open rather than air con but that's personal preferences.
Good facilities if you want to use them and a short walk from Hythe High Street and the Military Canal.
Waitrose close and a Sainsbury's ten minute walk.
Walk across the road to the sea and along the prom.
Nice room, good size and clean. Staff very polite and helpful. Spa area good.
Negatives the shower did not get hot, just luke warm, drinks and food expensive. The breakfast was disappointing, no fruit as starters just ceral, bacon was hard and only just warm. It was help yourself to everything, so very annoying to keep going constantly back n forth, with food going cold. Not worth what it cost. Very mixed feelings.
Booked a classic room, we were given a accessible room (wheelchair user), this wasnt suitable, the bathroom contained just a shabby wet room which had a very old curtain, the bathroom sink was below waist height. Reported to reception this was not suitable, they said they couldnt do anything but could upgrade only for an additional amount (convenient)
This is the second time we have stayed but the first time we had breakfast the food was lovely only we would of preferred it if the tea and coffee were served to the table as we were backwards and forwards to the buffet I know this is a very small issue and slightly petty but it would of been nice staff fabulous will definitely stay again hotel spotless and we had a lovely big room we will return and use the spa thank you
