The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the hotel’s proximity to the train station and ski lifts made it perfect for exploring Interlaken. Wonderful experience!

Super Location
Hotel is located just in front of the Interlaken West train station. It was a surprise to us when we found that the entrance to the hotel is just 10m from the train when we alighted. It’s a good choice to stay here for few days when you make your trip in and out to the different Alps in the vicinity.

Literally at the doorstep of Interlaken West station, you can walk out from the hotel directly to the platform so it cannot be more convenient. Close to shopping street with plenty of food options as well. Room condition is clean though it can be a bit dusty, amenities provided are sufficient (but only one complimentary bottle of water over three days of stay). Breakfast has a good spread. Overall a nice stay.

Great loaction, right at Interlaken west station. Plenty of food options nearby and a short walk into the main area, we always felt safe. Hotel was very modern and clean (a bit of dust but I think just because it's a new hotel/build). Breakfast had decent options but the eggs were overcooked each day. Only issue was the room has no fridge and there is no gym/spa.

The rooms categories isn't not listed when booked. I spent more then US$ 230.00 for a cave type room which has no view at all. Paid $50.00/ night extra for a room with outside view. Rooms have no microwave, waterb oiling cattle & refrigerator. Also no iron inside the room. They provides upon request. Bathroos are so small and ignored by house keepers for shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. No space for clothes to hang. Basically very small rooms that you can hardly move around.

Great stay here. Hotel is at the train station so it could not be any easier to get to your train or room. Hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable. Best shower during our stay in Switzerland!. Supermarket is right the street for your everyday meals. Highly recommend.

Doesn’t get easier. This property is located right at the Interlaken West train terminal. After a long day it was so awesome to be dropped almost at the front door to the hotel. The free breakfast is a legitimate breakfast with all kinds of options from eggs, croissants, cereal, tea, coffee and more breakfast cravings. Great service, clean hotel!

Pro: Clean and good location; Con: Guest rooms are next to the train track. Avoid this hotel if you are sensitive to the noise. The guest rooms are quite small, which cannot compare with average two star hotels in the U.S. The hotel staff is reluctant to help their customers.

Location - It is just right next to Interlaken West Station, but it is still quite with good river view. Although it is 30 mins walking to Interlaken Ost Station, there is bus stop around the hotel and visitor card will be provided by hotel to take the public transport Migros is opposite to the hotel which is convenient for shopping Breakfast starts from 0630 with good range of choices though the taste is on average

Quiet comfort, excellent staff and tasty breakfast
The Essential was a great place to stay right along the Interlaken West train stop, literally out the back door. With the door closed however, we couldn't even hear the trains stopping. Excellent rooms and breakfast as well. This isn't a cheap place to stay but well worth the money when you need a quiet and comfortable place to recharge after active days in the mountains.
