Definitely stayed at better 4 star hotels
We found the staff very friendly however the hotel needs updating. Our room was disappointing unfortunately. The bedding was very cheap with no additional blankets available. The wall mirror had a crack and there was dust throughout. The bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working which we reported to the gentleman at the reception desk on arrival but this wasn’t addressed or fixed. We’ve definitely stayed in better 4 star hotels. We did have a meal in the restaurant one evening which was amazing. Exceptional food and service, just unfortunate that the hotel room wasn’t up to standard.

Good choice in Inverness
Quick efficient check-in, room spacious and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Large shower but water flow could have been better. No solid soap supplied, only liquid from a dispenser, but this may be more eco-friendly? Staff friendly. Parking very limited, I had to park in a unofficial space beside a wall, but the hotel appeared to be full on the night I stayed so probably would be OK if the hotel was quieter.

Couple in a double room with 1 piece of shortbread between them on both nights and only 1 milk each - come on!!!!!! This is supposedly a high standard hotel. Rooms could also do with an update

Slight deterioration since our previous stay
We were staying in the executive rooms which we’d stayed in before and sometimes has had a separate checkin however the previous time we’d stayed we’d needed to check in at the main reception. So we went there this time and queued for 15 mins to be told we should check in at the other building. Think this could have been messaged beforehand. We filled in an online checkin prior to arrival but were asked the same questions on arrival so was a pointless exercise. Our daughter was staying in the hotel as well and was charged £1.50 for a towel at leisure centre but hadn’t been told the process at checkin. About 50% of the staff were quite brusque whereas the rest very welcoming. The main chap on the main restaurant, unfortunately didn’t get his name was super helpful and friendly.

Got a disabled room instead of the room I had paid for. Hotel was fully booked so no ability to change rooms. Shower was awful - no water pressure and cold water. They gave me a free breakfast as an apology but all in all a pretty disappointing experience.

It was pretty impersonal. Arrived after an arduous journey to be told that we were to go to another building. Was a bit strange to dine in the hotel lobby. Staff were good in the annexe. Room was clean, was an okay experience.

Too short of stay in Inverness. Property was beautiful and clean. Double twin was good sized with comfy beds. Hotel was quite busy so upon return from dinner, parking was quite tight. Breakfast selection was fantastic. Overall a great stay.
