The staff who checked us in was very unhelpful, verging to being arrogant and argumentative when I was explaining my side that I have been trying to contact them to change my booking. The room was smelly, the bathroom was dirty, the air vent for the AC was dirty and blocked. The place is walkable to the spice market and lots of shopping nearby. The hotel itself need a lot of upgrading. The hallways were dark and carpets were old and worn out. Bed was not comfy and we had to share a queen sized comforter on a king sized bed!

The room needed upgrading and it felt dark. Breakfast options were poor as turkey dishes is an acquired taste. Eggs never tasted good and pancakes with chocolate syrup? Heck, no!

Poor ventilation (wreaked with cigarette smoke, A/C broke (old unit tech couldn’t fix it), hotel’s under capacity ( only provided one pillow. Asked for an 2nd one and they said they ran out of pillows). Very helpful staff tried hard to make amends by providing free snacks), prompt responses (staff were at the door within minutes, consistently with each request).

The hotel was nicely located and in general was well kept. We had a few problems at check in. My friend had booked a twin room but when we checked in they said they only had a king, because they were fully booked. Which didn’t make a whole lot of sense as we were one of those people that had booked so a twin room should have been reserved. The king room they put her in was an accessible room with a wet room for a bathroom. The seat underneath for showering was very mouldy and when showering it flooded the bathroom making anything left on the floor wet even if it wasn’t near it. The room I was given was pleasant, but the key card continuously failed so had to keep going back down to the room which was inconvenient. After a few times of this happening and me arguing with the staff only then they said they have a problem with the system and I should come to the front desk each time to reactivate. I really don’t expect this from a 5 star hotel. Housekeeping was also a hit inconsistent. They would sometimes come in and sometimes not. When they did come in they might make the bed and fold towels but then not empty bins. Or take away the hand towel without replacing it. It was very confusing.

The staff very friendly and profesional, but the carpets in the hallways and the rooms are very wear out and the shower tiles were glues and look-like silicone in between that was very disgusting.

Dear [Hotel Management], I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the room condition did not meet the expectations for a 5-star establishment. The housekeeping staff removed our tea cups, shower gown, and slippers, but these were not replaced during our stay. Additionally, I found the pricing of the spa services and massages to be quite high, especially when compared to similar services in Europe. The room also had a noticeable damp odor, which required us to open the window. However, as the window faced the lobby, there was limited access to fresh air, making it difficult to improve the room’s ventilation. I would recommend checking and possibly replacing the air conditioning filters to address this issue. I appreciate your attention to these matters and hope this feedback helps enhance the guest experience in the future. Best regards, M J
