We arrived at 5pm, there were no staff at reception, we finally managed to contact a young lady who after booking us in told us there were no dining facilities. The kitchen had been out of commission for weeks. We asked why we had not been informed, she said that she had been given specific instructions by the director Jose Canto, not to warn guests in advance of the problems. There were only three members of staff on the premises who were unable to offer any of the facilities advertised. As this hotel was ten kilometres away from the nearest restaurant we refused the accommodation offered and moved to a hotel 19 kilometres away down the mountain in Jaca.
I arrived after a 40 minutes drive from the nearest civilisation and was 45 minutes early for check in. Despite the fact that the room was ready (there was nobody else at this massive hotel) I was not allowed to check in. I was sent away only to return 45 minute later (when nothing had changed apart from the time). Check in then took about 15 minutes. The spa was dilapidated and could not be used. Not recommended.
I almost cancelled this reservation after I read that terrible review! But I was so astonished because the hotel is gorgeous and our rooms were beautiful. I’ve stayed at top hotels like the Post Ranch Inn and the construction here is gorgeous - totally lined with hardwood and gleaming and spotlessly clean with a comfortable modern vibe. The staff were incredible and helped us with a flat tire and easily accommodated our three girls and their groggy breakfast requests! The buffet was brilliant - multiple cappuccinos (!) cut fresh fruit, four kinds of granola and cereals with soy rice and regular milks, cooked eggs and bacon, fresh cake and pastries - lovely. I’m not a breakfast person but I loved it. I think they overbuilt the hotel when they made the museum next door of the same materials, so it feels gloriously spacious for the few guests. We extended our stay to three days and made many forays to other lovey valleys and castles although if you enjoy hiking here are waterfalls and amazing outlooks all around. 100% approve. Only took one star off for quality because our bathroom door handle fell off. All around fantastic. Photos are accurate. Really new and very very clean.

Gracias!!
this hotel opened about 10 years ago, and its really worn out. the resturant felt lukw it was 30 years old. only reason I can recomend this place is the monestarie is really close.
