Cactus Petes is one of the slickest hotels I have ever stayed. Aestically, it's a mix of Japanese modern, meets Frank Lloyd Wright. The warmth ends there, this town and this hotel are clearly a final holdout of the old grandiosity of Nevada. The pool and hot tub were closed, everything else from the restaurant to the bar, were either closed or staff was nowhere to be found.

Dogs in room across hall started barking around 1 a.m. we called desk twice but didn't notice a change then called desk again at 5 a.m. and they told us when we checked out they had moved the dogs at that time. We needed a good nights sleep and with barking dogs that did not happen.
