We stayed for a honeymoon (first get away with a one, and two year old) and our first room was looking out at the roof. Nicole moved us to avoid the construction noise and upgraded our room which was so nice. The new room was the balcony right next to (and one floor up) our old room…The construction woke us up 3 mornings at 8:30/9am….when I spoke to the front desk the second time, it was the front desk manager. I explained to her the issues. She told me “we have construction through Nov, that’s how it is, they aren’t doing anything on that side and I don’t have any other complaints”…essentially as if what I’m explaining isn’t true….So I went upstairs and took a photo of their lift right outside my room. In addition, the hot tub (which we also came specifically for) was only available for 4 hours in the evening from 6-10. We felt like we paid a lot for a room and resort that didn’t provide the relaxing stay and specifically advertised amenities. We reached out to the 3rd party Vrbo we purchased through, just wanting to leave by Thursday morning due to the pounding outside. They mentioned they tried to get ahold of the hotel multiple times and as of 3 days later, still no response. We felt like we could have had a quieter more relaxing stay at a best western which probably includes complementary breakfast. There was no resolution untimely, and we were left feeling confident that we wanted to bring our friends and family back, but not to stay at that resort again.
