Modern 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Ioulida

Kea, also known as Tzia, is one of the closest islands to Athens. There are 4 to 5 ferry boats going to and from the island in the summer months. Kea has been called the Hidden Gem of the Cycladic islands, due its beautiful landscape, gorgeous sandy beaches and unique architecture.

The house is set in the upper part of Ioulida, the main town/village of the island, just a 10 minute walk from the famous Leon statue, a giant stone carving of a lion made about 500 BC. To get to the house, you go to the top part of Ioulida, where there is a parking area (parking not always available) and walk down to house, about 7 minutes or you can park at the bottom of Ioulida and walk up. As cars are not allowed in Ioulida, there is a donkey, called Leon, who will carry your luggage for you to the house. Only 10 meters from the apartment/house there is a very nice restaurant called Steki and close to that is bar called Leon.

For those that want to experience the real island feel, this house is ideal!!

The apartment/house is on the first floor of a 2 storey building.. For larger groups the ground floor can also be rented. The house/apartment has stairs leading to the property with a large balcony with a BBQ, where you can sit and enjoy the view. The apartment has a large living room with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, 1 bedroom with 1.60 X 2 meters mattress and writing desk, a second bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom.

Nice apartment in a cool area! But you also should know that: - parking is about 10 minutes away and you are walking uphill - right next door is a bar with loud music deep in the night that you can hear in the bed rooms - there is no aircon in the bed rooms only in the living room. so we left the window from the bed rooms to the living room open for cold air.
