I came to Kearney for work and got a good deal on my room at the Days Inn. I didn't have super high expectations but was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Updated lobby, nice and clean rooms, friendly staff and a generous continental breakfast in the morning. It was exactly what I wanted for a one day road trip stop.

everything was good until we stepped in our room and the smell of a cross between yuck and strong cleaning solution was overpowering. Had to open the window for some dress air.

The rooms smelled really funky, musty, mildewy. I tried the first room (first floor), and it smelled really bad. I went and asked for a new room. The staff was great and they got me a new room on the fourth floor, but it smelled just as bad as the first room. I tried cranking the air conditioner and opening the window, but nothing helped. I could not check out quick enough, and will not be staying here again.
