The hotel is a great starting point to visit everything in the area no more than a 20 minute drive to any attraction. The staff is a family and they are very friendly and helpful the rooms are quaint and upper levels have a great view of the mountains. The only draw back is the entire area closes for the season which is odd but the hotel stays open beyond the shops in the area so there is not a lot of people around makes it very relaxing.

Service was great. Only complaint is our sofa bed had dirty sheets/blankets on it, it seemed like it was just folded up and not cleaned. We discovered it after the front desk help just left. I didnt want to call someone in so we just removed and made due with other sheets. Im sure if i called they would have fixed it.

Last week we spent 8 days at Roosevelt Inn exploring wonderful monuments and outstanding parks in close proximity We were very pleased with hearty breakfasts including eggs home fries sausage pancakes and pastries Staff was welcoming morning noon and night Beds were comfortable and rooms very clean Decorated with Fall theme was additional nice as well as older pictures of Mount Rushmore Definitely will recommend this inn and return in future

Fun & educational place to stay
We were there for a long weekend. Lived all the Roosevelt quotes all over the hotel. Could have spent a good chunk of time just wandering the halls reading the quotes. Breakfast was good. Lots of options. Our room was good. Quiet at night. Only issue was the sink drained very slowly. Overall great place to stay if you are visiting Mount Rushmore. Kids approved. The indoor pool was a nice perk. I found it to be a task fold, but the kids thought it was just fine. Had no problem with checking in super late. The staff was very accommodating to this situation. Would stay again.

Overall the hotel was very nice and the front desk service courteous. Our room was good size and the property was close to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park. We saw an antelope in the parking lot - very exciting!

This was our second stay. The home cooked breakfast with lots of options is great! The hotel has lots of history and is located near lots of sights (Mt. Rushmore for example). We enjoyed the game room.

-Toilet takes forever to fill. Doesn’t flush well -Beds are lumpy -Space for hang up items is very limited -Space to open suitcase is limited to one fold up stand -no hooks to hang hats or coats TV is very difficult to operate
