We just stayed here and we were very disappointed. We booked a queen bed suite. Just entering into the hotel the grass is long with weeds, greeted by an unfriendly manager and entered into a very dirty room with lots of stains and unclean surfaces. No soap, shampoo, conditioner in rooms or at pool shower for the whole 3 days we stayed. We paid good money to stay here, why were we given such a gross dirty room? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will not be staying here again. We come to Kincardine almost yearly and they have lost our business.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Issue with the toilet seat and they were quick to fix the problem. They repaired the broken bolt on the seat but it was still wobbly to sit on. The King size bed was great to sleep in. My only complaint was the continental breakfast. We came to eat around 9:30 and there was very little hot food to choose which was not appealing. Staff made no attempt to replenish the dishes. Basically there was cereal and stale bagels to choose from. The orange juice was even watered down.

I had a suite. The room was relatively clean and capacious. The elevators and common areas were not cleaned very well though. The breakfast needs an upgrade. The eggs were hard and chunky, and I’m not normally picky about food. The front desk staff during the day was also rather unpleasant. I felt uncomfortable asking him questions because he seemed very inconvenienced each time I talked to him. My kids liked the pool and hot tub, but the lack of cleanliness in that space made me try to limit our time spent there. The same hair balls were on the deck the entire 3 days we were there. The water was also cloudy (you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool or hot tub) and there was an error noise that continuously beeped in the mechanical room every time we were at the pool. I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back.

One thing I noticed was that altho breakfast ran till 9:30, at 9:00 there was no fruit and attendant was not quick in refilling the buffet as needed.

The room was nice but dated. Holes in the sofa for example and the sofa bed was horrific. The room was also a little dirty. We asked for a cleaning after the second night but that never came. The hot tub was a luke warm tub at best and the pool water was murky. Breakfast was okay. I stayed away from all hot food, though. Green eggs? Some fruit would have been nice to. Overall okay. Big suite. But some issues.

It was a functional place to stay but for the price I would expect more. The breakfast buffet was nice but the space felt too small and crowded. The pool was also small and crowded and pool towels were not readily available. Our shampoo and conditioner were almost empty, there was not enough for our family of 4 for even the first day. Coffee pods and toiletries were provided but not replenished after the first day. Location was not interesting. Disappointing for the price. We booked this trip on short notice. Next time we visit the area we will plan ahead and choose more carefully.
