Penrhos Court, Lodge 7 and the Pythons Arms
This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far. Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. I had my 2 nephews in tow (7 & 9) which were greeted personally by the chef. He came and asked the boys what they would like to eat which was a really lovely touch. Keeping the kids happy makes a nice meal for the adults. Food as always was fresh and really tasty and a delight to look at. Finally on Saturday we ventured to the new on-site pub. The pub was something I was really looking forward to experiencing and it far exceeded expectations. Warm, cosy, great selection of drinks including real ales. It has a log fire, pool table and dart board. We had a fantastic after/evening in there. Mark & Laura are fantastic hosts and all of the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. A very special place that’s set in a lovely part of the country.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Threshing Barn at Penrhos Court recently, and I can't say enough wonderful things about this charming and idyllic retreat. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. The Threshing Barn itself is a true gem. It's a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The exposed wooden beams, the cozy fireplace, and the tastefully designed interiors create an inviting and cozy atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The attention to detail in every aspect of the barn's decor is truly impressive. The amenities provided were top-notch. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals, and the spacious dining area made our mealtimes a joy. The comfortable bedrooms provided a peaceful night's sleep, and waking up to the breathtaking views of the countryside through the barn's large windows was a truly memorable experience. What truly sets the Threshing Barn at Penrhos Court apart is the surrounding natural beauty. The gardens and the expansive grounds are a paradise for nature lovers. We spent our days exploring the well-maintained walking trails, admiring the stunning flora, and enjoying picnics by the pond. It's a perfect place to unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with nature. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, ensuring our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their local knowledge and recommendations for nearby attractions and activities added an

We stayed in cottage 5 for three nights; it was spacious, well designed and beautifully decorated. A countryside setting, overlooking fields with cows as neighbours, and plenty of local walks. During our stay we had lunch and dinner at the restaurant (The Cow Shed), the food was lovely with great service too. Overall we had a perfect stay and made some good memories. Would heartily recommend.

Stunning location and beautiful accommodation
Beautiful rural setting of ancient house, barn and cattle shed, full of wildlife and very peaceful. Lovely accommodation, generous space with very well equipped kitchen and a welcome gift of cheese and biscuits and drinks. Lovely lounge with comfy sofa and TV and nice products in the bathroom. Note room 3 has steep ladder to a mezzanine sleeping platform which would not be good for less mobile people. Owners were very concerned for our arrival as we were late from a gig at the Hay Festival. Cattle shed offers lovely breakfast which can be eaten in the stunning garden watching swallows swooping in to the pond and newly fledged birds practicing flights!
