Difficult to imagine a more friendly welcome
Pros:Everything, but especially the attentiveness of the staff.
Cons:Nothing
Location:A little off the beaten track but handy for the station and not too far to walk to t.he old town
This hotel is a little off the beaten track but still handy for the train station. We found it without any problem and we were given a genuine, friendly, welcome when we arrived. We were given a welcome tea/coffee on arrival and a free vodka from the small bar later on.
It was my birthday on the date of arrival and the staff had decorated the room with a few balloons and happy birthday posters. A nice touch. The room was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. We had the standard apartment but it felt anything but standard.
The hotel only has 11 rooms but it still put on a varied, and tasty, breakfast. This was mainly a cold buffet but they made omelettes to order. Because of our flight time we had to come down a little early for breakfast on our departure day but the staff didn't bat an eyelid and we were made to feel welcome.
On checkout we were given a little box of sweets which resembled Scottish tablet. A nice touch
