We highly recommend staying at the Cross Hotel in Kyoto. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is great. The hotel is on a quiet block but is less than 5 minutes from some of the best parts of Kyoto. Kyoto is a spectacular place. Hundreds of shopping and restaurants are minutes away. If your in Japan you must come to Kyoto.

Stayed here with my family of 4, kids 9 and 12 years old. Good location close to shopping Nishiki market, Pontocho alley for restaurants and the river. Sanjo station nearby provided good access across the city. Free mineral water everyday. Would stay again.

The soaking tub with the bath salts after walking all day was perfect. The cleanliness and quietness of the room was wonderful after such busy days. The ease of finding places to eat nearby, almost at all hours, was invaluable.

Location was great! Close to Sanjo station which makes things easy for any time you need to use the train/subway. Quite a few Food/restaurant options nearby. Everything is walking distance which is great. The rooms are smaller than usual, our room didn’t even have a window.
