Our stay at K's Villa Takasegawa was absolutely fantastic! It's a small but perfectly designed and furnished two-story house in one of Kyoto's most beautiful neighbourhoods, over the little Takase River.
The unit had all comforts for a family of three with a little kid (~3yo): spacious fully-furnished kitchen/living room, a toilet and a bathroom with shower and, upstairs, the bedroom (tatami mattresses) with adiacent living space and laundry area. Everything is just functional and stylish!
To pick up the keys, we headed to K's House Backpackers Hostel, which is a 10 minutes stroll from Kyoto station. From there, reaching K's Villa is just another short walk but they called a taxi so my wife (who's pregnant) could relax.
The neighbourhood is charming and laid back, perfect to start your visit of Kyoto whether you're heading to the busy Nishiki Market, to the historic Gion District and the Kyomizu-dera Temple, or catching a train to a farther destination.
We will absolutely book this place again next time we are in Kyoto!
