Do not stay here. Upon arrival, we first were waiting outside for 30 mins waiting for instruction on how to get into the building when I finally received a message to come in. We then went into what we thought was supposed to be a private access room, which it was not. It was a room inside someone’s residence that had a lockable door and a private bathroom. It seemed off right from when we checked in, not to mention when we initially googled the location it showed up as another “Casa Falicidade” that is right on a beach. Interesting that the first photo of this posting is a staircase leading to a beach. We decided to set all of this aside so that we could get a good nights rest on the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Upon waking up my partners arm was itching which we didn’t think much of at the time of checkout. After we left, about an hour later the itching continued and upon investigation we realized these were bed bug bites. Unfortunately we were out of cell reception at this time but I contacted the host to let them know as soon as I was able to. I was then called a liar and was told that there’s no way this happened on their premises since we didn’t tell her first thing in the morning or leave a complaint in her book. I tried my best to stay calm and tell her that if we had known upon checkout that she would have heard from us immediately. She was not understanding at all and did not seem to give any care that she may have bed bugs. Don’t stay here!
