The unit and location are lovely. When we checked in, the A/C wasn’t operating. After resetting, it blew cool air. We left and came back to a hot (86 downstairs) condo. The after hours employees at Epic repeated the troubleshooting that we had done before. The unit finally started cooling, and the upstairs sleeping area cooled off around 3am.
My frustration isn’t the A/C issue. It is that I asked for a late checkout or just use of the two beach chairs. (There was no one checking in the day we left.) A one hour (11am) checkout was offered, but anything beyond that would be over $200. They stated I couldn’t use the chairs because they had to be sanitized. That’s not true because there was a used napkin in the cup holder of one chair when we got there.
It’s just disappointing that no compensation was offered for a $700 first night’s hot sleep, but there is over a $200 fee if you need any grace from Epic. They’re all about profit, not about the client.
Lovely condo, but I will never rent from Epic again.
