The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua offers 463 air-conditioned accommodations with iPod docking stations and DVD players. Rooms open to furnished lanais. Pillowtop beds feature Egyptian cotton sheets, down duvets and premium bedding. A pillow menu is available. 65-inch Smart televisions come with premium cable channels, pay-per-view films and Netflix.

Bathrooms include a separate bath and shower with a deep soaking bath and a rainfall showerhead. Bathrooms are also outfitted with dressing gowns, slippers and designer toiletries. Business-friendly amenities include desks and desk chairs, as well as telephones; free local calls are provided (restrictions may apply). I did not get the room type reserved; I mentioned it and they changed the room to what they said was better but still did not get the ocean view booked; and clearly they had rooms facing the direct ocean but did not put me in one, it should not be advertised as ocean view if there is no clear view of the ocean, it was my bday trip and I wanted and was expecting the best of everything and thought u was booking such, everyday I told my friend how let down I was, bc everyday something happened, I should not have to look around corners or major items to get jus a slither of a glance of ocean. Hotel outdated, need room up date, only staff that was extremely friendly and seemed happy to be working was the lady who passed out leis and Cynthia. They cleaned the room once a day and left only two washcloths a day, common trend is leave four everywhere else. Room service is a major let down, left special instructions that weren’t followed, when food arrived fries were cold, fish tasted like nothing, I sent it back. I requested laundry services and of course they did not come pick it up until after I called a second time hours later. The hotel is far from a lot of things so consider when staying. I would have preferred to stay closer to the city area, we were a hour drive from airport. I’ve stayed @ other ritz locations bf and those visits were my basis for going with ritz Maui. This was the biggest mistake I’ve made in booking a hotel. It has made me even rethink booking ritz again.

Beautiful location and well kept property. Nice room, with patio overlooking the garden. Small things here and there that needs to be in place for this to be a 5 star experience. Dirty glasses and coffee cups not cleaned, rattling noise in AC (although fixed after highlighted), pool service not attentive. As others have pointed out, $65 per day for parking, feels very steep even for Ritz.

I was disappointed in the property for the price we paid and the extra charges for resort fee and valet were exorbitant. The onsite dining was limited and ridiculously priced. Overall, not worth the expense in my opinion. We splurged for our honeymoon and were not offered anything special. Very disappointed.

We booked this property for our honeymoon and hoped it would be as luxurious and beautiful as seen on the photos but was sadly disappointed with the property. I felt the grand entrance was the best and most beautiful part of this hotel. The ridiculous prices definitely do not reflect what you receive. The 18 adult “only” areas were filled with toddlers and screaming children, splashing in the pool… we were there to experience paradise and some relaxation but was definitely disappointed. The 18 hot tub was not only filled with children but at night when we tried to go back for some relaxation, the light was broken and was strobing…. No one wants to be in a rave hot tub on your honeymoon and especially after spending thousands of dollars. The room was very average nothing to jump up and down about… The food options are very limited, we recommend going to Sensai the sushi restaurant. Great quality sushi and reasonable prices. Our trip went well but we definitely will not be staying here again in the future. There are way better and nicer properties that are actually beach front (another disappointment, this property is not beach front) and are waaaayyyyy cheaper! Spend your money else where!
