lovely hotel

Clean comfortable room, good size pool. Restaurant food very good. Staff helpful. Ideally situated to Lancaster University. Buses frequent to Lancaster but a bit of a walk to the stop.

Hotel and spa are great. restaurant a let down

Condition of hotel, rooms, pool, treatments etc all great the thing that let it down was losts and lots of small niggles in the restaurant. I don't have space to mention all but for instance;, First night dinner was ok food was lovely. After that it was not so great. Breakfast on Saturday was on till late which is a good thing but food has been there ages, dried up, gone hard etc., Had to chase up on items ordered from kitchen, wobbly tables, no side plates, never cleared dirty plates. Dinner Saturday night started with a long wait for a table we stood at the desk for 10 mins someone came crossed us off then we waited 10 mins for another person to cross us off again and take us to our table. The water we ordered never came we had to re- request, never took drinks order while we waited to order food which took about 20 mins before someone came,so we sat with empty glasses for what seemed like ages. And so it continued. Everything we ordered took an age, side dishes came later during main course which is not ideal, We had one good young man, name of Jack I think, who was on the ball and took a lot of stick from us as we were getting pretty fed up by then, but he himself did a good job. Breakfast next morning was much busier and food kept running out (at least it was fresh when it eventually came). I waited a good 20-30 mins for a fried egg and lots of other people were waiting for other things.

First class

Pros: My friend & myself really enjoyed our stay at the Lancaster we couldn't fault it really, we took advantage of the leisure facilities & had treatments which were most enjoyable the staff were all professional & friendly the beds comfy the food excellent. We will definitely be returning to this hotel.
Cons: There was nothing bad that we could say about the hotel or our experience there.
Location: It's quite close to Lancaster city the museum & castle its in a good spot for trips to the lakes morcambe heysham & trough of bowland. Lots to do.

comfortable friendly hotel

We enjoyed our stay in this spotless comfortable hotel, the staff were helpful and pleasent, the room was a good size and clean, the food was excellent as was the service, the hotel is a little out of the way and we would of liked to use a bus rather than drive, we have marked it down one point on location because we could not find any info re the use of the many busses visiting the uni over the road we would of liked to use a bus rather than the car, also our room was in the front of the building with a nice view but you could hear the trains but it did not bother us when we were there, over all we would recommend the hotel to everybody

Hôtel grand confort juste à côté de l'université.

Cons: L'ameublement de notre chambre et le style de la salle de bain datait un peu, mais tout était quand même propre et en bon état.
Idéal pour les parents visitant leur enfant étudiant. Hôtel grand confort avec piscine bar et restaurant. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel, avec en plus la gratuité pour votre enfant étudiant s'il dispose de la carte de réduction étudiant.
