Compared to recent experiences at other properties, my stay at Trump International Las Vegas fell short in several ways. The area surrounding the hotel felt desolate and somewhat sketchy for walking to and from the Strip, which was unexpected.
Inside the hotel, there were several noticeable differences in amenities. The room lacked the plush, signature robes that Trump hotels are known for, which was disappointing. The bottled water provided was also smaller than the standard 16-ounce bottles, which made it difficult to have enough for both coffee and drinking for two people. Additionally, there were no USB charging ports on the desks or lamps, a common feature at many hotels, and the wall-mounted phone in the bathroom gave the space a dated feel.
Then there was the issue with the iron, which had a black, sticky residue that went unnoticed until it ruined my new dress, leaving a large burn mark and forcing me to wear a swimsuit cover-up to dinner.
The pool service was also subpar—the waiter took our order for one drink and then never returned, so we had to go inside to ask for another, after which they eventually sent a server back out to us.
Between these various disappointments and the incident with my dress (which they refused to compensate me for), my stay at Trump International didn’t live up to the quality I expected at this price point. Interestingly, our stay later in the week at the lower-priced Tuscany was surprisingly a better experience.
