Guests driving to the property should be aware of seasonal road closures. Hwy 120 (Tioga Pass) closes October through late summer, restricting east-to-west travel across the park. Yosemite's eastern gate and Tuolumne Meadows are not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. Nice small motel along the road south of Dearh Valley. Friendly staff. Room is large, nice and clean. Kitchenette rooms has just a microwave and minifridge and a couple of spoons, bowls, and cups, so don't think you're going to cook anything there. There i snice bar saloon across the road.

I often stay at Lake View Lodge when I visit the east side of Yosemite. It's only 15-20 min to Tioga Entrance and is very conveniently located. The facilities are dated but clean and I have no complaints.

Nice and easy access to everything. The rooms are older and need some TLC. The adjacent restaurant has a beautiful seating around the building where you can enjoy the trees and the birds.

Knee challenge
Very dated room, dark even with lights on. Comfortable bed and pillows, but with cheap linens. Toilet unusually low to the ground, 15", definitely challenging for senior citizen with bad knees. Heat pump was very effective, but noisy right next to the bed.

I have a kayak trailer, with two kayaks, and a large ebike, the lodge worked to assure all was safe and secure. My old friend and I spent a day in Yosemite and a day at Bodie, but the highlights of our stay were the late afternoons spent around the picnic table by our trailer, very quiet and peaceful!!! I've routinely stayed here many years, but have never brought a trailer full of toys. I have to give this facility a "5" for assuring that my "toys" were well taken care of!! Thank You Lake View Lodge!!!!
