Lovely beautique hotel with lovely spacious rooms. The food is reasonable and fairly priced. Staff are friendly and accommodating. For an overnight stay with was very good value. Also very quiet and peaceful in the room overlooking the park. I would stay again.

The room was lovely, don’t like the reuse your towel policy. Was inform when asked that breakfast would be until 10.30am so arranged to meet at 9.30 colleague had to take a call before he sat down. I was then told I would need to finish up as breakfast finishes at 10am as there was a function straight after. I explained what we had been told to no real response or apology. On checkout I witnessed the staff sitting enjoying breakfast no function. I complained at reception but no real apology or offer to refund the missed breakfast just “you shouldn’t have been told that” Very poor service

The Belmont was comfortable and we had one overnight stay. Unfortunately the bathroom sink was blocked and when using it the water didn't run away quickly enough and left a dirty surface to the sink. We did report it when we left.

Good stay but not an enjoyable shower experience
Spacious room in a period building and a comfortable stay. Nice breakfast. Would have been great but work on flushing pipes through the previous day resulted in my shower stopping just after I had stepped into it and shampooed my hair. Staff did come pretty quickly to see if they could fix it but I had to run down the corridor in a towel to finish my shower. No offer of anything for the inconvenience, not even a free breakfast. I probably won’t risk staying again.

I certainly wasn't treated like a VIP. There were two people behind the reception desk. One was coughing all over the place and complaining that she was ill. Her colleague was barely interested in receiving me and did the barest minimum and then carried on her conversation with the coughing one. There was no mention of any VIP 'perks'. I was given a gloomy little room with no bath, unlike the photos on their website. Fortunately I was only there for one night and spent the evening elsewhere.
