Great location and modern simple property
The property was clean albeit a strange smell in the kitchen. The previous people had left onions in the cupboard and in the heat added to the strange smell that lingered for the full time. I did message the owner about this. I went and bought an air freshener. As she was not there to greet us, I don’t think this was checked.
The location of the property is excellent and we loved Lindau and the walk to the island. All amenities are near by. There is a real country view from the garden and it is not long to walk to the lake. However, a little more care from the owner might have meant we didn’t walk for miles to find our way. The info in the hall was mostly in German only. So catering for other nationalities would be again a more welcoming thing to do.
The place does not have WiFi and has poor internet connection. There clearly is a connection there but I messaged the owner and had no reply about this. Also with no air conditioning the temperatures reached 30+ some days. A fan might have at least helped.
The owner was away so didn’t greet us and said she would see us later in the stay but did not. It would have been nice to have felt like it was someone’s home. The furnishings were quite cheap though clean. The pillows were uncomfortable and there is only a travel kettle for a flat that sleeps 6 people so you are filling it up frequently. The laminate that has been laid was a tripping hazard for grandma who was sleeping in the living room on a sofa bed. It was buckled and lifting.
This could be an excellent place with some tweaks and a bit of love for the property and friendliness from the owner.
