It was wonderful. He shared bathroom facilities were plenty and impeccably maintained, the breakfast was wonderful, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The front staff was friendly and very helpful. If I come back to Lisbon this is where I will stay.

The Guest House was very and has a homely relaxed vibe. It has a beautiful old spiral staircase. Breakfast is available and coffee, tea and snacks throughout the day. This is very much appreciated by travellers. The staff are very helpful. I would definitely stay again when next in Lisbon.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed and enough space in the room plus plenty of hanging space / surfaces to put things on. Excellent breakfast and clean facilities. Shared bathrooms but never a queue to use, shower great and everything kept clean. Very convenient for Saldanha metro and a bus stop also right outside the property. Not quiet at night outside the property - don't stay if you're looking for absolute peace and quiet! Was to be expected with the window open on a sultry night. Other guests largely respectful and not noisy in the evenings. Thanks for a great first stay in Lisbon.

Good hotel, with the most friendly and helpful staff, who were always there providing assistance and advice to everyone. Literally across the street from the metro which goes direct to the airport or city, so really easy for arrivals or departures. I walked to the centre each day - about 1.5km, if you like walking and looking around. The hotel is split into two buildings. The main one offers free coffee, tea, juice and snacks; the other has kitchens, but if you want any drinks or snacks, you need to go out to the main building, which is a bit of a pain when you're tired after a long day. Breakfast is excellent and very plentiful, served as a buffet in a nice sunny room. Rooms and (shared) bathrooms are very clean. Overall lovely, easy and friendly place to stay!

The staff was very nice & helpful. The rooms were bright & clean and well decorated. The breakfast was great. I was only there for 1 night before a flight. It is close to a metro station, 10 stations from airport. Everything was great. The place has a great vibe. No elevator, but staff helped carry my heavy suitcase up. From what I observed, there are 5-6 floors, with 2 wings each and about 8 rooms per wing. Each floor has a covered porch, kitchenette & lounge area. Very well organized and maintained. My only note was that it had a shared bathroom situation, which I did not notice when I booked. The bathrooms were clean, 3 per floor, 2 with showers. At first, I thought I had booked a Youth hostel when I heard about the bathroom situation, but there were many older people/couples as well as solo travelers or small groups. What made this different was that there were not dorms like a typical hostel... Rooms seemed to be doubles (made up of 2 single beds together in some rooms like mine). They were also very clean, nicely decorated and modern. I would definitely recommend this place (if you don't mind shared bathrooms) as it is a lovely accommodation in a beautiful old restored building.

Perfect location, clean, great stay!
Five stars all around. Had a wonderful stay here with my family of 3. Room woth high ceiling, doors that opened to a terrace to let the cool breeze in throughout the day and night. Two shared bathrooms on each floor were very clean. Temperature of the shower was erratic at times. Breakfast was great with fruit salad, breads, pastries, ham, cheese (panini grill available), delicious strong coffee, yogurts, juices. There were also a good number of communal rooms, a kitchen, laundry line. Great location across the street from the metro station. Quiet residential street. No elevator. Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Rooms very clean.

I didn’t have a chance to explore the area. I was only here as my quick stop over before my flight home the next day. The staff were lovely, helpful and sweet. Very welcoming. The room was clean, but don’t be like me and miss that the bathrooms are shared (they are clean!). Breakfast in the morning was great! Earlier for my holiday I salted in the Baxia area - I think this area is a bit better for visitors, but this place (Chantel d’avila) is close to airport and super convenient. :)
