there is a manual lift for wheel chair that one has to operate to get into the hotel lobby. It is very inconvenient. Comparing 5 star hotels in other places, this one barely makes to 4.

Excellent property, great location close to Bairro Alto/ 0rincipe Real. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Staff are the best, so helpful and multilingual. We loved our stay. Only minor detail is that our room had a bathtub which can be challenging to get in and out if you happen to be an older person or with limited mobility (not an issue for us, but worth noting)

This is not a 5 star hotel. Staff are polite but not available throughout the day. Several times I went to the front desk but no one was present during the late afternoon and night. The following morning, staff was absent. Upon check-in, my room was not ready although we arrived one hour after the check-in time, which occasionally happens. We were assigned another room which was not the one I paid for as we requested more beds as we are a family. It was rectified by another staff, thankfully. I wish there was an espresso machine rather than old instant coffee packages.

Nice staff, but not 5 star. Ugly caulking/fix around shower was a disappointment, and major leak from shower stall could cause a slip. Room service not available for breakfast, and isn't 24 hour. On 2nd night, couldn't get front desk (the only # on card; for some reason you can't find a room.service #) for 45 minutes. Even tried calling the hotel using an outside line but no one would answer the phone. Eventually they called back and said they'd still deliver room service, but result was 1.5 hours to get a salad. Nice enough, comfortable room, but not 5 star

In a hotel of this status I would have expected to see a Nespresso or other coffee machine in the room rather than just a kettle and instant coffee packets that were never refreshed nor was creamer ever provided. Dirty coffee cups weren’t always picked up. The breakfast buffet lacked variety and no option to order other choices.

Nice but too expensive.
The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and the main shopping area. It was clean, safe and comfortable. One of two elevators was not working part of the time we were there. The only thing we realized is that there were other more luxurious hotels at the same rate on the same street.
