Basically a cupboard with an en-suite
Very very small - if you are bigger than 5”9 you won’t be able to lay down flat… the single bed was squeezed between walls. If your heavier than average, you won’t fit in the shower… all round claustrophobic experience

The Bloomsbury Palace tries hard and is successful at many levels. I was able to walk directly to the hotel from Warren Station. It is located about 5 minutes away from Tottenham Court Road which has great shops, restaurants, coffee bars, and food outlets. Goodge Station was also nearby and I used it regularly. The breakfast is well presented. The staff at the front desk are helpful and very kind. The hotel is suited to able-bodied travelers since it has no lift and several flights of stairs. The key word is bijou. I was in a single room and had to get on my knees to plug in a greatly appreciated kettle. To access the safe I had to lie down on the floor. As advertised, the hotel had no air conditioning and the summer heat never left the room. It is the perfect hotel for some, and it is well-priced. I would recommend this hotel to anyone good on their feet. It is not suited for people with ambulatory disabilities. While there are ground-floor rooms, breakfast is served on the lower level. The hotel is run honestly, with integrity, and does not pretend to be anything other than what it is and for that, I am most grateful. Again, the staff are kind, and friendly, and do their best to accommodate guests.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. My room was very small and very little storage space. This said, I slept well and the shower was very good. I appreciated being able to book in at 1.30 PM as opposed to 3pm.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay here, the hotel being quiet, clean, and full of English charm. Great location, with prime spots within walking distance. The hotel staff were helpful, both at the desk and in the breakfast service. The room was tidy and had what I needed, though it was extremely small and awkward to move around as the only place to put my suitcase was on the only floorspace in the room, meaning that I had to step into my suitcase to get to the bed, or to get from the bed to the washroom. The bed was also tiny, and wedged between two walls. I am 6 ft tall and could not lie down flat on my back. This room (108) should come with a disclaimer that if you are over 5 ft 8 the bed will be too small. And that it is best for travellers without luggage. The breakfast was sufficient, though limited. Toast, hard boiled eggs still in their shell, cheese slices, yogurt and mini processed danishes. I was glad to have some fresh options of oranges, apples, pears, grapefruit, tomato and cucumber slices, so the lack of hot options was forgiven. I booked this stay last minute and was just glad to find anything for my specific dates, so the minor inconveniences or limitations were not a big deal to me, simply amusements along the way. This hotel certainly has bigger rooms than the water closet I was in, and I’d be happy to stay in one of those on a future visit to London. Thanks Bloomsbury Palace, until next time.

Proper little gem, we got checked in early as our room was ready which was nice. Room was very clean and well appointed with TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Very friendly staff, nothing seemed too much trouble. Only downside is no air conditioning as the weather was particularly warm and our room was on the third floor making it very warm. Also no lift, we didn’t mind as it’s only stairs, but older or infirm may find this difficult. Complimentary breakfast provided which was very welcome, basic but sufficient. All in all a good value lovely little hotel placed very conveniently for theatres, Euston Station and Covent Garden Will be staying again👍
