Appalling reception service with demand for a plastic credit card for a deposit that I did not intend to use and a passport for ID, despite me booking through Hotels.com and having travelled within the UK. Receptionist couldn’t understand why I would t have a plastic card, I use apple pay for everything, or why I was reluctant to hand over my passport, again, check my credentials through Hotels.com. I showed her my Hotels.com booking on my phone and she refused to look. She then spent a ridiculous amount of time recording my passport information in the computer, she said she needed to confirm that I was who I claimed to be! I will not be booking again at this location. Rooms are nice and up to date, but you will be entering a hotel that behaves like a ‘police state’.

My daughter and I shared a twin room and had a lovely stay. The hotel staff were so accommodating and friendly and the facilities were good. Breakfast included many tasty options plus gluten free options were readily available 👍. Would definitely book again…..thank you for such a lovely stay
