This shouldn’t filter into luxury and/or high rated on Expedia lol.
The 2 star is generous for my personal taste. May not be for yours. I like luxury hotels not hostels.
I slept here 1 night of my 7 night stay; used this as storage. Sadly I couldn’t cancel- and I acknowledge that bias.
Pros:
- Located within a largely Muslim community if that’s important to you.
- Accessible transportation; bus, train, cab access, parking lot, walkable shopping.
- grocery stores, coffee shops, primary, fast food, cultural foods all nearby.
Con:
- 5 min from airport but not a tourist area
- when I arrived, I had four 28” suitcases. No one offered me any help. When leaving the woman offered to help.
- a walk up
- rooms cannot comfortable fit an adult; more of a hostel than a hotel.
- I paid $90/night. Next night people checked out and rooms were open for upgrade. On site listed for the price I paid. Wouldn’t upgrade me to a room that was larger and empty for the remainder of my stay. Wanted £200 pound more- ridiculous, nothing in there is worth that price.
- no A/C (but there’s a fan)
- located in a small nosy community
- second night had to prove I was staying there with my key and last name; sir once I got to the room if I couldn’t get in…. That’s the proof. Weird.
- must haggle when shopping on the street vs set pricing in other areas.
- a lot of cultural food or fast food. Can’t get a cooked meal that isn’t specific to a particular demographic.
