Location is perfect and the highlight of this stay. It is central and easy access to rail, bus, underground, and easy walking to many attractions. Across the street from a Tesco as well. The Tesco would’ve been a bigger help if the apartment were better appointed for cooking. No cutting boards, or basics you’d expect (e.g., cooking oil / spray, more than a couple fast food packets of salt / pepper, paper towels / napkins, a single trash bag). If you just want to store drinks and be able to grab pastries in the morning, great. Otherwise you’ll have to buy everything and leave most behind. The beds were spartan - no top sheet, and the mattresses had seen better days. A huge stain on the side of the master bed. Multiple lights were out in the apartment or constantly flickering. The common areas desperately needed cleaning - the carpet outside our place was badly stained. The shower hose was stuck in the lowest position, meaning for us (over 5’10”) we had to rig it to be able to shower properly, and it was near impossible to not flood the bathroom. On arrival, the door code we’d been sent didn’t work, and we had to try a half dozen more with the representative until we could access the place - a great first impression when everyone is exhausted. It suited our needs, mostly - but I wouldn’t stay there again nor would I recommend it. For the price differential from the Hilton across the street, I’d take daily maid service, comfort, and amenities that were working properly.
