Don't book this Hotel

The pictures are years old, the actual hotel is like an old building falling apart. They use some attractive pictures to mislead you making a booking with them and when you realize the hotel is actually not as good. It's too late. They won't give your money back even you are not going to stay with them. This is a scam! Keep away from them.

Nice picture on web, but v disappointing.

Pros: None
Cons: See above.
Location: Not near to any transport - that's why £75 per night. However, still unacceptable not provide even a soap in the room.
1. Arrived at about 10:30pm, being allocated at the very top floor, no lift was mentioned, climbed up. 2. No bath math, one hand towel with yellow stain, one old bath towel; 3. Had no idea that the shampoo/shower get, etc. were NOT provided. But feel totally unacceptable that no soap was provided - undermined that basic requirement for the hygiene!! - after the travel, everyone will need to wash hands WITH SOAP!! 4. Bed/pillow are old and soggy, bed linen are all very old, they are very thin and not white but grey, all due to their age! Doesn't look clean. 5. When eventually ready to go to bed, spotted a creature crowing cross the pillow!! 6. Remote control wasn't working. 7. When asked to book a taxi in next morning, the staff could have advised that taxi is very easy to get on the street and pre booking is not necessary. When a taxi were pre booked, the type of taxi and the charge were not advised. So all came as a surprise when the taxi turned up. 8. Notice (telephone conversation) from neighbour room.

Perfect hotel with budgetted stay

I was looking for budget hotel in central London and came across opulence hotel. The receiption was very friendly and tried their best to make my stay comfortable. They even allowed me late checkout for my stay. I was satisfied with my stay in this hotel. The room was neat & clear though it was small room which I was aware off.

A birthday night out

Rude staff, key wouldn't work at 3 am when coming in from a club on a Friday night I called the number on reception to explain as no body there and they complained at me that I shouldn't be awake at 3 am. No towels in the room

good location. Price reflects quality

The place is more like a guest house and is in need of some work to bring it up to a half decent level. Excellent location though. OK if you are only staying one night on a budget

Goodthe hotel is located close to Madame Tussauds, 5 minutes walk away from Oxford Street, ideal for shopping & fun. Nice stuff, clean

Well situated

The room I stayed in was the Buckingham Suite due to a room entry error. And was absolutely stunning. The first room I had was a single room and was adequate for a single traveller,clean and we'll appointed However the suite was incredible. Both rooms had high ceilings and period features well decorated. The hotel itself is ideally situated for exploring London.

good staff but 4 star!!!! really

great staff but cannot make up for the factit is billed as 4 star! you have to be kidding. no tea of coffee in room, shower that could not turn off. bla bla never again. poor staff. happy smiley. they need to a hotel more to their standards!!!

Room too hot

When I arrived the room was incredibly hot and I could not switch of the readiator as the Thermostat was broken and lying in front of the radiator. Also there was free standing air conditionor unit on full blast. When I complained I was told that was the only room. Though they evently switched of the raditor from outside the room the room was still hot and I did not sleep well.
