Staff were prickly and dismissive. There were multiple small problems with my room they were slow to fix. Bedding is scratchy. Look elsewhere.

My room was cold even if i put the temperature up. Perhaps the heating system was old or not working properly. The carpet is probably not be cleaned regularly, it gave me sinus allergies.

Club Double rooms are small!

We stayed in a Club Double Room and it was very small and the bathroom was tiny (about 2m x 1m!) Not what I would have expected paying for a Club Double. I don't know how small the Cosy Double or the Deluxe Double would have been! The room was nice though, we had a Super King bed and a free bottle of wine because it was Valentines Day

I stayed for 3 nights. I found that there was a flickering light on the ceiling. A hotel staff told me that I have to adjust the dimmer switch to fix that. Unfortunately the problem was still there and I have to turn off all the ceiling lights to make it more comfortable. In addition, they gave a tiny single bed and the bed sheets size was too small to cover the whole bed. A very annoying experience. I won’t recommend this hotel to anybody.

Would return again

Stayed here for two nights while visiting London. Staff were lovely and friendly and accommodated an early check in for us. Room was small but clean and location was ideal. The only negative was the air conditioning system for the hotel was right outside our bedroom window so the noise was continuous so I would request a different room next time.

Nobody answers the phone

I left some property at the hotel. That's my fault. So I called to arrange for them to find it so I could come and pick it up. 17 times I had to call to get them to pick the phone up the first time. When I did finally get someone to answer the phone, the person I spoke to said to call back in about 15 minutes to give him chance to speak to house keeping. Okay, no problem. It then took another 8 times to get them to answer the phone. There's no way to leave a message either because when the call goes to voicemail after just 6 rings you get "this mailbox is full" The overall experience of the hotel was fine, but don't let the pictures on google decieve you. The rooms are tiny, but taken with a wide-angle lens so they look bigger. You're about a 10 minute walk from Paddington station which is served by National Rail services, The Elizabeth, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines.

I had an outstanding experience at this hotel, thanks in large part to the incredible service provided by the front desk team. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Not only did they provide helpful local recommendations, but they also made sure all our requests were met promptly and with a smile. Their warmth and attention to detail truly set this hotel apart. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated hospitality, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stress-free and welcoming stay.

Hotel is in need of repairs. My room was two flights up and the elevator wasn't working. My bed was up against a drafty window, and I couldn't escape the cold. Even though I'd change the thermostat to a warmer temperature, it would reset during the night to a preprogrammed temperature. I'd wake up in the middle of the night when the room turned cold again. I was offered a room change on the first floor as well as a heater. I took the room change, and of course, that room was also drafty but a bit better since the bed wasn't up against the window and the drapes were longer blocking some of the cold. I wanted to checkout sooner but each person at the front desk gave me conflicting information about any credit given for unused days. The final verdict was that no credit would be offered for unused days. They offered a credit for a day due to the alarm going off after midnight. There was mention of a flooded basement due to a problem with the furnace. They did not credit me for that day during my checkout but asked that I email them and call Expedia. I emailed them a couple of times. I'm still waiting. They shouldn't offer a credit and then not honor it.

Not bad, but disappointing

The location of the hotel is great, very convenient, and we had the included breakfast which was worth having. We were also celebrating a birthday and they had kindly decorated the bed and brought up wine and chocolate free of charge which was a very nice surprise! We had a few things that impacted our stay quality however - the room wasn’t fully cleaned when we checked in and it was late when we did, the wall are thin so we did hear other guests, there was a green light in the room (the smoke detector maybe) that was too bright during the night, and the soap dispenser wasn’t working but we did get that fixed. We were hoping that the hotel would at least not charge us for the bottled waters we drank t make up for all of this but they didn’t give us anything. A bit disappointed by our stay!

Very run down hotel. Not clean in places. Gym is a smaller than a garden shed. Can't move in it. So many better options in the area.
