The property was very nice with excellent facilities HOWEVER we feel that corners were being cut. There was no daily room check, instead we were given a bottle of wine! In addition to this our room for 3 only had 2 of everything and we had to phone reception for the extras needed. It took 50 minutes for somebody to bring a mug as we were originally sent somebody from maintenance. When we asked for a toilet roll we were offered a towel- surely a basic understanding of English in London is not an unrealistic expectation.

Very out-of-date: Desperately needs refurbishment
I had not stayed at the Park Plaza London Riverbank since June 2018 but it has not changed at all. My partner and I stayed in a one bedroom suite with river view and balcony but it is definitely not worth the money. The interiors are very run down and there were numerous things that do not work properly. For example, windows which are not sealed so you hear all the noise from the main road, the control panel in the living room was broken so you could not turn off the lights, the bathtub drain made a gurgling noise 24/7, the mattress was very old, stained and sunk in the middle. Additionally, the mattress topper has a zipper that you can feel as it is on the top and at the edge of the bed where you sleep. The service was atrocious because when I called the reception on the first evening to complain they hung up the phone and then did not answer when I tried calling back so I had to go downstairs and confront the individual on the desk. The night staff are very rude and inconsiderate as they refused to bring a mattress and/or mattress topper from another room. The night manager said the only option was for us to move rooms which would've been fine if we were not forced to move all of our possessions at midnight! The following day when I spoke with the manager he said he had no idea about what happened the previous night. I would really hate to see what the cheaper rooms are like but this hotel deserves 3 stars at best. Do not recommend this hotel and will never stay here again.

Nice enough hotel in the heart of Londons Westminster tourism area. Tons of shops and monuments within walking distance. The hotel itself is modern with a casino vibe. There are walls make of tvs and funky lighting in the elevator. Nothing wrong, just a bit unconventional
