Hmmm…a mixed bag
This was booked for our wedding anniversary, my wife contacted the hotel in advance to arrange a pre-welcome surprise but the hotel didn’t bother to respond so not a great start although reception staff were pleasant/helpful and welcoming. Hotel reception and area/position great with free transfer in the morning which was great Room/bathroom nice layout lovely view but room not particularly clean quite a few marks over the carpet and smell in the bathroom overall the room looked a little tired. Breakfast, on the second day I placed an order from the menu and waited at least 20 minutes but nothing so I ended up using the self service myself, Why no coffee machine? twice I ordered coffee to receive something I didn’t order. Breakfast produce was fine but the service was so disappointing. So overall for the cost of the room in terms of value for our stay hmm well the service really lets it down which is a shame because it could be a great experience otherwise. I travel regularly with work so have some experience of what to expect service wise.

Whilst I did have a pretty good stay the property was quite dated and could do with an update, also it should be called the Blackwall not Canary Wharf Radisson as it’s very far from Canary Wharf. There was a mix up with my complimentary breakfast and I had to go to reception to get it confirmed which wasn’t ideal. But even though the rooms were dated, it was nice to have a bath and the bed was comfortable.

Unhappy due to parking
This is my third or fourth time staying at the Radisson franchise and usually they don’t disappoint however this time this franchise let me down. I was really unhappy that I had to park ten minutes away and they wouldn’t cover the parking cost when I initially choose this hotel because it had parking facility. They did cover my taxi for check in and check out but it’s still a real inconvenience which I was not comfortable with and I had to pay £30 for parking far from my hotel. On the plus side the staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable even though the rest of furniture in the room are outdated. Also be careful with the slippers they give you as they are really slippery in the bathroom. Luckily I never broke a hip..

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your Radisson Blu Hotel in Canary Wharf. Having used Radisson Blu hotels frequently and always having positive experiences, this recent visit fell far short of expectations, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. Firstly, the room I was provided was nothing like the one advertised on your website. I specifically booked a room with a full sea view, yet the room we received only offered a partial sea view, with the rest of the view obstructed by neighboring buildings. The photos on the website painted a very different picture of what I would receive, which felt misleading. Additionally, the room was described as featuring “Egyptian covers,” yet there was nothing more than a plain white covering on the bed, again contradicting the description and photos shown. The bathroom was also supposed to have a sea view, but instead, it had a view of the hotel next door. This left us with no option but to keep the blinds down for privacy, which completely negated the point of paying extra for a sea view in the first place. I paid extra with the expectation of privacy and a scenic view, and instead, we felt exposed and disappointed throughout our stay. This was, without question, the worst experience I have had with Radisson Blu. I believe it is unfair to be misled by inaccurate hotel photos. I could have spent my money elsewhere for a proper sea view and a more satisfying experience.

Check-in process was awful. Arrived at check-in time, only to be told my room isn’t ready. Had to wait nearly 2 hours. Once in the room there was fixtures and fittings broken. Not what you would expect for a penthouse suite. Cleanliness was not to standard.

The view and area was excellent. Customer Service was very poor in terms of house keeping. The food at the restaurant downstairs was tasteless but the continental breakfast was plentiful. I would not stay here again because access to transport is difficult.
