The hotel is old and it wasn’t what we expected. The rooms are small, the mattress on the bed is about 4 inches high, we were afraid to sit in the chair as it looked like it would fall apart, parts of the carpet was unraveled, the bathroom was not cleaned very well. There was mold around the soap dish, drain and sides of sink. The toilet is inside the shower, there is a step up of 6-8 inches to get into bathroom. They didn’t seem to like that we wanted clean towels each day and you can only have two (I like an extra for my hair) but when you take a shower you need to use your towel to wipe up the water so you can use the toilet, unless you like wet feet. You get a room key but have to ring a buzzer to be let into the hotel. They also don’t want you to take drinks in your room. You don’t have any way of controlling the temperature in your room, we requested and was able to get a fan. We chose this hotel as it had gotten good reviews and is close to the tube and Eurostar station. If I had it to do over I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel. It definitely is very dated and needs newer and better furniture and a deep clean in rooms and bathrooms.
