Rock bed, great shower and good location

We arrived early and checked our bags and the concierge was brilliant but when we returned at 16.30ish to check in it went down hill slightly from there. Our room wasn't available so after some typing and a couple of phone calls they put us in another room on the 8th floor. We went up followed the signs and arrived at a barrier to a fenced off corridor due to some refurb works to one of the towers, finally got to the room to sit down to listen to drilling and banging for the next 45mins. The beds are made by meccano with rock for mattresses and paper thin pillows and every time you moved it pushed away from the wall. The towels are more of a hand flannel and literally the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel. The shower however was amazing! I’m not sure if they spent the budget on the shower and then scrimped on the room or had so much left over after scrimping on the room so spent it on the shower but it’s tall with two options and powerful.

Very mixed bag. Great staff - the hotels biggest asset. Room very clean and well serviced. Communal areas shabby. Drilling a few times, two false alarm fire alarms and 2-3 am staff in our corridor talking loudly and doors opening and closing quite loudly. Not very considerate. Location perfect though - and good value.

Serious breech of security and privacy! Avoid!

Checked in and left our bags to go sightseeing and to the theatre. Returned at 2100 after a lot of messing around by the receptionist we were given the key to our allocated room. On entering the room we were greeted by two guests in the bed! Very upsetting and distressing for them and an embarrassing shock for us. We went down to reception to be met with staff who seemed to find this amusing and didn’t understand why we were shocked and angry. After another 40 minutes we were allocated another room, by which time we had missed our dinner reservation with friends. We slept poorly as we didn’t feel secure, half expecting someone to barge in at any moment! No recompense was offered except free access to the executive Wi-Fi and 20% off a meal in the restaurant. There was already an offer on for every guest for 25% off!!!!! The manager this morning was no help in fact he bordered upon rude and was very dismissive when I mentioned our ordeal he said it would be discussed at the morning meeting and feedback given to me via email Needless to say I’ve heard nothing! This breech of security and privacy is totally unacceptable and such poor customer service is deplorable I am asking Hotels. Com to look into this and feedback to me what this Hotel intends to do to make up for ruining our weekend

I spoke with desk staff 4 times during my 10-night stay re lack of heat in my room. At first, the heating/cooling unit wouldn't even turn on. After a couple of days, it would come on but only blow cold air. Asked a third time to have the unit checked, a small, ineffective space heater was provided. Finally, a couple of days before departure, when i was asking for a late checkout, I was told that the room was already booked for the next guest. I strongly urged them not to let this room out again until they arranged to have the problem resolved, but was told "we have a large group checking in"; one of whom, apparently, was going to be assigned to a heatless room. Very disappointing.

Good value property within easy walking distance of Euston station and close to Holborn underground. Renovations ongoing which were particularly noisy if you were trying to have some down-time in your room in the afternoon, but reasonably quiet in the evenings for a good sleep. Great shower pressure!

Check in was slow, lady never explained what floor we was on, had to work it out for ourselves, Room clean & & Normal size for a London low price room, Only had 1 thin pillow each, could have done with an extra, bathroom lacked standard requirements, toilet brush, vanity set, & shower tools are on the small side

My friend and I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. We love it. So easy to find, the staff are excellent and can't do enough for you. An excellent location with everything right on the doorstep. We feel safe and that's very important.
