Value for money and great location

We returned to The President because it ticks most of our boxes. It's comfortable, clean, good service, good breakfast and the location is great for our needs. Just round the corner from Russell Square tube station and some nice places to eat. It makes a great base to explore London. There is still some building work going on at the back of the hotel which can cause some noise but only through the day when you're likely to be up and about. This was the same as last years stay. They have been refurbishing the hotel rooms as well.

Very comfortable stay, easy checkin, nothing too much trouble from the staff. Beds lovely and comfortable. Lovely clean room. We visit London every year, usually October, this was an impromptu visit. Will definitely be booking for our usual trip in October.

Easy to find from arriving at Kings Cross. The nice man on the desk allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. Round the corner from Russell Square Underground station. Room was basic but very clean. Comfy beds, good shower. They also allowed us to store our bags for the day following check out, until we went for our train.

AMAZING gem of a hotel

AMAZING stay with you! Loved the touch with the birthday cake towels! What a surprise! The room was absolutely spotless- your cleaning staff do an amazing job! Shower was great, had a nice welcome at reception and the breakfast was superb, I'm definitely going to stay with you again. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and clearly work very hard- please pass on my feedback.

A bit of a mixed bag. The location was amazing. We were close to Kings Cross, The Dominion and The British Museum which was perfect for us. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great! However, the cleanliness of the hotel was an issue. The room was not clean. For example, the bedding was stained. The paintwork is also tired and scuffed.

I've stayed here several times now and every single time it has been clean, the staff are friendly and my room is great. Breakfast options are lovely, hot full English or fruit & yogurt, porridge or a waffle station. There's endless coffee, breakfast gets busy from 9am onwards so set your expectations.

Lovely hotel in a great location

All the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Every bit of the hotel was clean and breakfast was lovely. Its in a great location at a very reasonable price. I’d definitely look at booking here again

Every thing was perfect great staff breakfast omg was out of this world but the room was sooo hot we had turned radiator off had windows open still very hot the whole hotel was very hot bearing in mind it’s February and bloody cold outside

Valentines London Getaway

Very convenient location. Nice hotel internally in the lobby. The hotel room is basic, just a bathroom with a shower and a bed with TV. The bed is a small double but an upgrade in quality wouldn't go a miss - the same with the pillows. The view from the first floor window isn't great. Though I did get the cheapest double bed room and for one night, it was fine. I had the cooked breakfast and that was good. Lots of choice. 9am, it was busy. There was a queue. However, the restaurant space is large with lots of tables and we'll run by the staff. I liked the option of renting the umbrellas. £2 for 48-hours. Although it wasn't needed it was still a nice touch. For a valentines trip, I got there for 5pm to drop the luggage, and then returned after midnight. I would stay again but for maximum two nights unless I spruce for a more expensive room. Clean. Well maintained. Good breakfast. Convenient. Location.

Great place to stay

This hotel was perfect for our stay, big comfy room, nice bed linen,modern clean shower room with nice fluffy towels! Just a bit too warm with the window closed against the noise, but a good fault!! The bar is comfortable and spacious with the nicest staff and great coffee. Good snacks too. Helpful reception . Suited us very well, plenty of places to eat nearby. Would definitely recommend it and we would stay again, thanks everyone.
